We are seeking a dedicated Pediatric Emergency Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to deliver exceptional nursing care tailored to the unique needs of pediatric patients. This role emphasizes promoting patient health through evidence-based practices and adherence to outlined medical plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional nursing care appropriate to patient age and condition.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document nursing and medical plans of care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhere to regulatory standards and hospital values.
- Support patient and family education regarding health management and care plans.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of pediatric emergency nursing experience.
- Experience in a children's healthcare setting is preferred.
Education Requirements:
- Two-year (ADN) degree in nursing, four-year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma in Nursing.
Certification/License/Registry Requirements:
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges.
- Ability to establish licensure according to applicable Arizona laws prior to start date.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications are preferred.
Working Conditions:
This position requires flexibility in scheduling, with rotating shifts available throughout the week. The primary shifts will be determined during the interview process. Any requests for time off (RTO) should be discussed in advance.
Health and Safety Requirements:
COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not mandatory. Flu vaccination will be required from October through April, with exemption applications needing prior approval. Individuals not vaccinated for Flu or COVID-19 must sign Declination and Masking Protocol agreements and are required to wear masks during the respiratory virus season.
