Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the emergency department.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (Cerner EMR).
- Participate in triage based on experience and competency.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting with at least 45,600 visits per year (approximately 125 visits per day).
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
- Certification in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS required.
- Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam, achieving an overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
- Triage experience is preferred.
- Willingness to float within the skillset as necessary.
Work Schedule:
Shifts available are 4x12 hours, either day (11:00 - 23:30) or night (19:00 - 7:30). Every other weekend and holiday commitment is required.
Additional Requirements:
- All employees must receive the Flu vaccine.
- Local candidates within 60 miles may be accepted at a lower rate.
