Description
We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. This position requires strong clinical skills, the ability to float between multiple locations, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Job Details
- Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks
- Shift: 12HR Nights (07:00 PM - 07:30 AM)
- Hours Per Week: 36
- Holidays and weekends required
- Travel between two standalone emergency departments is required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Float between two emergency locations as required.
- Participate in patient assessments, planning, and implementation of nursing interventions.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage emergency situations and provide critical care as needed.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of RN experience with prior travel nursing experience required.
- Current BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and ACLS certifications are required.
- TNCC certification preferred.
- Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center is preferred.
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record system is highly desirable.
- Must possess a valid Florida nursing license or compact license at the time of submission.
- Strong adaptability and willingness to float between locations.
Additional Requirements
- All new RN hires will be required to pass a basic nursing specialty test and an EKG test, including rhythm mapping and interpretation.
- The ability to identify lethal rhythms is essential; additional training will be provided for those requiring assistance.
- Influenza vaccination is mandatory, and proof of compliance is required prior to starting the position.
- No permeable shoes are allowed while on duty.
