Job Description
The Medical/Surgical ICU is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves providing care for adult patients, including complex surgical and acutely ill medical patients. Although the unit is officially designated as a Burn ICU, thermal burn patients currently make up less than 10% of our caseload. All patients are cared for by a dedicated team under a closed ICU model.
Unit Overview
The ICU team comprises Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) as primary care providers, supported by surgical teams and consultants. The care model follows a multispecialty approach, ensuring that responding clinicians are supervised by in-house attending ICU staff physicians available 24/7, along with critical care fellows.
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week with rotating day and night shifts
- Weekend and holiday work required
Qualifications
- 2+ years of ICU experience required
- 1+ years of travel experience required
- Candidates must possess a valid BLS certification
- License/Certificate Verification required
