Shift Details

Shifts are available in two formats: either 4 shifts of 10 hours or 5 shifts of 8 hours, with the RN selecting their preference at the time of offer. Weekend requirements entail working every four weeks.

Job Description

The registered nurse will be part of an interdisciplinary team in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, providing care to both acute inpatients and elective outpatients. Staff is available 24/7 for emergency procedures during off-hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Position and immobilize patients on the examining table according to established protocols.
• Continuously assess patient hemodynamics.
• Administer conscious sedation as necessary.
• Mix, maintain, and administer intravenous infusions and bolus medications.
• Alert physicians to any changes in patient responses.
• Assist physicians during interventional procedures.
• Monitor patient recovery to Phase I standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience in Cath Lab.
• Experience in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Moderate Sedation Certification is highly preferred.
• Experience with cath and peripheral procedures, STEMI, and STEMI call is required.
• Proficiency in interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings is required.
• Experience with conscious sedation is required.
• IV experience is required.
• Experience with electrophysiology (EP) is highly preferred.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.

Orientation and Training

Orientation will consist of 8 hours of non-billable training. Compliance training must be completed through specified accredited groups prior to onboarding.

Dress Code

Personal scrubs of any color are permitted; however, scrubs must not display designs or cartoons. Hoodies are not allowed.

Additional Notes

Requested time off must be noted upfront during the application process, as any requests made after upload will not be approved. A maximum of 5 days of requested time off will be accepted.
