Job Description

A multi-modality technologist is responsible for delivering high-quality imaging and patient care in both X-ray and CT. The technologist will effectively communicate procedures to patients and ensure their understanding of the processes involved. Imaging must be produced for the interpretation or request of a licensed practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality imaging procedures for patients using X-ray and CT modalities.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients and address any concerns they may have.
• Ensure all imaging equipment is functioning properly and report any issues as needed.
• Maintain patient records and documentation accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with radiation safety standards.
• Possibly float to other facilities as required to support operational needs.

Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a 3x12 hour shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every other weekend required. The facility allows for the cancellation of one shift every two weeks.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related field. First-time travelers are welcome but must have 2 years of experience.
• Certain Certifications Required:
  • Registered in Radiography (ARRT) (R)
  • Registered in Computed Tomography (ARRT) (CT)
  • SCRQSA
  • BLS Certification
• Preferred Experience:
  • Adult inpatient and emergency imaging
  • Siemens and PACS experience
  • Level I/Level II Trauma experience
  • Pediatrics and orthopedic exams in both modalities
• Additional Requirement: Must provide own radiation badges, as they are not supplied.

Miscellaneous

• Radius rule: Candidates should be located within 60 miles.
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All time-off requests must be submitted upon application and will be approved based on unit needs.
• Parking costs apply for nights and weekends, requiring a one-time payment for a parking pass.

Note

During hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response duties. Candidates should take this into consideration when applying.
