Summary of Responsibilities

The RN Invasive Cardiology will provide care for critically ill patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab undergoing Interventional Cardiology and Endovascular procedures. This position includes assignment to STEMI call, requiring a response time of 30 minutes.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Cath Lab experience
• Preoperative and postoperative skills
• Experience monitoring and sedating patients
• Proficiency in advanced hemodynamic monitoring such as IABP and IMPELLA
• Experience with ventilator management

Required Licenses/Certifications

• Valid RN licensure in the state of Ohio
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Physical Environment

The position requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the day, with some extended periods of standing. Candidates must have normal vision range, with or without correction, and normal hearing capability, with or without correction. Physical demands include the ability to lift 250-300 lbs. with assistance and push/pull up to 500 lbs. with assistance. There may be some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids, as well as exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.

Shift Information

Shifts may include 0630-1700, 0700-1730, and 0800-1830 with holiday coverage required. On-call shifts for STEMI will be assigned by unit rotation with a minimum callback time of 4 hours.

Minimum Years of Experience

1 year of relevant experience is required.
