Job Description

An opportunity exists for a dedicated Inpatient Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing medication management and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications within the inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pharmaceutical care to patients, including the review of medication orders and drug therapy monitoring.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient-centered medication therapy plans.
• Conduct medication reconciliations and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication management and potential drug interactions.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and contribute to their training and development.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure to practice pharmacy in the state of North Carolina.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals.
• Experience in an inpatient pharmacy setting is preferred but not required.

Schedule

Shift times will vary but will not extend beyond 9 PM. This position primarily involves a Day 4x10-Hour schedule from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM with block scheduling available.
