Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Orthopedics and Joint Care to join our team on a night shift schedule. This is an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
Position Overview
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients within the Orthopedic and Joint Replacement Center. The position requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical setting.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Assist in patient education regarding health maintenance and disease management.
- Ensure adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
Shift Details
- Shift Type: Night Shift
- Available Shifts: 3x12 or 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the relevant state.
- BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIH certifications preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing is required.
- Experience in orthopedic nursing is highly desirable.
- First-time travelers are welcome with strong medical-surgical and orthopedic experience.
Work Conditions
- Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1:6
- Floating may be required within the specialty and across sister facilities.
- Weekends: Every other weekend required.
- Holidays: Required as scheduled.
