Shift Details

This position requires a commitment to a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts, from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend coverage will be needed every other weekend, with flexibility based on departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for inpatient adults experiencing or at risk of life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions.
• Monitor and manage a patient population with common cardiovascular diagnoses including sepsis, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease.
• Administer IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation as necessary.
• Perform special procedures including defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, and thrombolytic therapy.
• Conduct cardiac telemetry monitoring and EKG assessments.
• Utilize non-invasive blood pressure monitoring techniques.
• Assist in floating to relevant units or other facilities as required by patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Carolina.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with the EPIC electronic health record system.
• At least 2 years of nursing experience in a relevant specialty area is preferred; first-time travelers will be considered based on experience.
