Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical skills and a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care.
• Maintain proficiency in using medical equipment and technology specific to the Cath Lab.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to any changes in patient conditions.
• Document all patient interactions and procedures accurately within the electronic health record system.

Qualifications

• Current ACLS and BLS certification are required.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Cath Lab or similar setting is required.
• First-time travelers are encouraged to apply.

Schedule and Availability

The position typically involves a 4x10 hour shift from 07:30 to 18:00. Some shifts may start earlier at 06:30 and may require flexibility to accommodate procedural completion times.

Candidates should be prepared to commit to a work schedule that includes:

• Potentially one night of call per week.
• Float assignments as needed across units.
• Weekend work every other month.
• A maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) will be permitted.

Additional Requirements

Contract staff will be expected to participate in designated storm and hurricane response teams, which may require reporting to work during catastrophic events or disasters.

Unit Systems

• Proficiency in Pyxis, MAC LAB, CUPID, EPIC, and SBAR is preferred.

Orientation and Equipment

A 24-hour unit orientation will be provided, and scrubs will be supplied to all staff.
