Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing exceptional care in the long-term care setting. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing services in a compassionate environment focused on patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions based on individual patient needs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with standards of care.
• Perform Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR) and utilize AIDET principles in daily interactions.
• Conduct hourly rounding to ensure patient comfort and address any needs promptly.
• Work collaboratively with a healthcare team, including one RN and one med tech per hall, and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) assigned based on patient ratios.
• Participate in the rotation of weekend and holiday shifts as required.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in long-term care is required.

Working Conditions

This position involves evening shifts from 14:30 to 23:00, with a schedule of five 8-hour shifts per week and rotating weekends. The role may also require working on designated holidays.
