Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing essential medical care in high-pressure situations and demonstrate effective collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Rotating shifts: Two (2) 7 PM - 7 AM shifts and one (1) 11 AM - 11 PM shift
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility reserves the right to call off one shift per two weeks

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to emergency patients of all ages, including adults and pediatrics.
• Assess patient needs, prioritize care, and maintain accurate medical records using Epic.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement effective treatment plans.
• Perform emergency interventions, manage crisis situations, and effectively communicate with patients and families.
• Float to designated facilities as needed to support patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of general emergency experience required.
• Valid RN License in South Carolina or a Multi-State/Compact State License.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required; NRP and TNCC preferred.
• Experience with stroke protocols (CVA) and familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Must be open to accommodating block schedules, subject to manager approval based on unit needs.

Additional Information

Travelers should note that during hurricane season (June through November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams as needed. Candidates should ensure availability during this period.
