Shift Information

12-hour shifts; 1845 - 0715, every other weekend

Minimum Years of Experience

2 years of previous RN experience required.

Certifications/Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required, meeting the American Heart Association standards, with renewal every two years.

Role Responsibilities

The RN is responsible for the overall nursing practice of the unit during the assigned shift. In the absence of the Unit Director/Manager, the RN will report to the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of the patient's needs.
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating a plan of care to meet the identified needs.
• Providing professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process based on current nursing knowledge.

• Ability to function effectively as a team member and serve as a liaison between patients and staff.
• Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
• Capacity to communicate in a highly professional manner at all times.
• High level of mental and emotional tolerance when interacting with patients and their families.
• Use of tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, and a professional attitude in all interactions.

License/Certification/Registration

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
