Job Description

An experienced Registered Nurse is needed for a Step Down Unit. This role involves providing care to patients who require continuous monitoring and support after more acute treatment. The assignment is set for a duration of 13 weeks with the possibility of an extension.

Schedule

This position will involve working day shifts, specifically 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00. Weekend and holiday availability is required. Minimal to no requests for time off will be accepted.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a step-down setting.
• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and vital signs.
• Utilize telemetry and IV start skills effectively in patient care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a Step Down Unit.
• Travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required.
• Proficiency in telemetry and IV therapy skills.

Additional Information

Royal blue scrubs are required for this position. A copy of the driver’s license and an updated nursing license must be provided for verification. Please note that only applicants living within specified distance criteria will be considered for local rates or travel assignments.
