Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Stepdown Neuro to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in a progressive care unit setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills and the ability to handle complex patient needs.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with neurological conditions.
• Monitor and assess patient condition, recognizing changes in status and intervening as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and manage patient treatments according to established protocols.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in a stepdown or progressive care setting is required.
• Current, valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license is required.
• Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• Experience in PCU/Progressive Care is preferred but not mandatory.

Additional Information

• Travelers must work at least every other holiday.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment will be required during orientation, with acceptable scores on both.
