Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Neuro ICU team. This critical care unit provides intensive management for patients with life-threatening neurological and neurosurgical conditions, including but not limited to central nervous system tumors, acute strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and neuromuscular diseases.

Schedule

• Shifts: Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00)
• Every other weekend and holiday required
• Work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• 36 or 48 hours available
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the Neuro ICU.
• Monitor and assess patient status, administering medications and treatments as required.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement high-quality care plans.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and care plans.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• NIH Stroke certification required (can submit with certification pending).
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is required.
• Adhere to floating policies as necessary.
• Must be willing to submit for a VA license if not already licensed.
