Job Description

The Radiologic Technologist II is responsible for delivering an advanced level of quality patient care while producing radiologic images essential for patient diagnosis and treatment. Key responsibilities include conducting x-ray procedures efficiently while ensuring the highest standards of patient care to provide a remarkable patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine appropriate radiographic techniques based on anatomy and patient conditions to obtain high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, which may involve transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning patients effectively.
• Explain procedures to patients, considering their physical and emotional needs.
• Record digital images as directed for radiological interpretation.
• Maintain accurate and pertinent patient records.
• Ensure radiation protection in compliance with prescribed safety standards.
• Provide assistance and guidance to Radiology Technologist Students and new staff in performing radiologic exams, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and proper stocking of supplies in imaging rooms.

Qualifications

• Must have fluoroscopy imaging experience.

Unit Description

This position is within a Pain Center that provides fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided procedures.
