Unit Details

This nursing unit specializes in various diagnoses including:

• Hypertension (HTN)
• Diabetes
• Congestive Heart Failure
• End Stage Renal Disease
• Coronary Artery Disease
• Abdominal Pain
• STEMI/NSTEMI
• Pulmonary Embolism
• Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
• Behavioral Health

Work Schedule

Weekend shifts are required every other week. There is no on-call requirement.

Floating Requirements

Staff may be required to float within the facility as needed, as long as it aligns with the nurse's scope of practice.

Experience Requirements

A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. First-time travelers are accepted.

Orientation and Compliance

Full compliance is mandatory to ensure timely start dates. Non-compliance may delay the start date by 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Time Off and Holiday Expectations

Travelers are expected to work during major holidays according to the following guidelines:

• If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the traveler must work.
• If two major holidays occur, the traveler must work both.
• If three major holidays occur, the traveler must work at least two of them.

The major holidays include:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Traveler Offer Process

Upon signing, the manager has 48 hours to review the traveler's profile and confirm fit for the assignment based on unit needs and specific expertise. Compliance with return-to-office guidelines must be met for this process to occur.
