Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with various medical diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care, adhering to established nursing protocols and standards.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions and documentation.
- Manage care for patients with complex diagnoses including Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Diabetes, and more.
- Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system for charting and documentation.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and care strategies.
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Schedule
- Available shifts: 3x12 or 4x12 hours for daytime, from 07:00 to 19:30.
- Every other weekend required.
- Holidays will be scheduled as required.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing.
- First-time travelers will be considered with a strong background in medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
- Certifications required: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale.
Patient Care Details
- Patient-to-nurse ratio: 1:5.
- Patient age range: Adult to Geriatric.
- Common diagnoses include but are not limited to CKD, CHF, Diabetes, podiatry/wound care, seizure disorders, and substance use disorders.
Floating Requirements
Floating may be required within your skillset to meet patient care needs.
