Position Overview

The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) plays a critical role in performing high-quality CT examinations for patients across various age groups, from newborns to geriatrics. This role operates under general supervision and adheres to established protocols to deliver accurate imaging for physician interpretation.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Friday to Sunday, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• On-call requirement: Yes, with a rotation among staff members Monday-Thursday from 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
• Call situations may arise due to staffing needs or high-trauma influx but will not be every week.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and outpatient CT examinations, including weekend outpatient procedures.
• Conduct emergency room and scheduled interventional cases.
• Administer IVs and contrast and assist in biopsies.
• Utilize the PACS system for imaging and documentation purposes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist required.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Certification: Must possess BLS, ARRT (CT), and SCRQSA (CT) certifications.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in CT.
• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program is mandatory.
• South Carolina state license must be obtained prior to starting.
• Radiation badge is required and must be provided by the agency.

Additional Information

• Open to accommodating block scheduling with prior approval but not guaranteed.
• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application.
• Facility reserves the right to call off 1 shift every 2 weeks.
• During hurricane season (June through November), employees may be assigned to emergency response teams.

• Total Staffed Beds: 286.
• Preferred charting system: Epic.
• No parking costs for staff.
