Med Surg RN

Unit: 24-bed Med Surg unit
EHR: Cerner
Requirements: Active RN license and BLS
Preferred: Chemo certification
Ratios: 1:4–1:5
Staffing: CNC, RNs, CNAs, and HUC support on days; CNC, RNs, and CNAs on nights
Procedures: Occasional pelvic exams, echo, and thoracentesis
Float: May float to other Med Surg units, though floating is rare
