Description
1.General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Moderate sedation of patients, Pre-assessment and recovery post procedure, Starting IV's, accessing ports
positioning pts for procedures, monitoring patients during procedures.
2.Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Cerner, Power chart, Phillips monitors, paper charting on procedures
3.Required skills and minimum years of experience.
2 years ICU or ER experience.
4.Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
ACLS, BLS required and PALS preferred
5.Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
In procedures 2 tech to 1 R.N., Call is required; rotates with staff approximately every 5th weekend; some call during the week too; May work alone; especially on call rotations
6.Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
