Description

ICU RN

Requirements: 2+ years ICU experience, OK or compact RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS
Role: Provides critical care to seriously ill ICU patients, monitors status, administers medications, performs complex procedures, and responds to emergencies
Ratios: ICU 1:2, rarely 1:3; may take Med Surg patients at 1:5
Float: Required; may float to ED to care for holds
Skills: Critical care assessment, medication administration, emergency response, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration
