Description

Beds: 101

Ratios: 4:1 medical patients; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral health holds

Staffing: RNs, techs (monitoring & processing), triage nurses, unit clerks (day & night)

Equipment: GE monitors, Baxter pumps

EMR: Cerner

Floating: Within all ED areas only (no external float)

Scheduling: Every other weekend, no guaranteed block scheduling

Requirements:

Experience: 2+ years nursing; minimum 1 year ED in Level II trauma or high-volume ED (>100,000 visits/year)

Certifications (required by start date): BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS; ENPC within 90 days

Skills: Ability to work all areas of the ED, strong teamwork, adaptable, able to coach peers
