Description

Emergency Department RN – Days/Nights

Specialty: Emergency Department
Charting: Cerner
Beds: 101
Ratios: Typically 4:1 medical; up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Scheduling: Block scheduling not guaranteed; must meet department needs
Required Certs: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS; ENPC within 90 days
Experience: Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 1 year ER experience required
Preferred Experience: Level II trauma, comprehensive stroke center, high-volume ED, and previous HCA experience
Required Skills: ER nursing, high-volume ED care, teamwork, flexibility, coaching/real-time feedback, and ability to work all ED areas
Equipment: Baxter pumps and GE monitors
Floating: No floating outside ED, but must float to all ED sections as needed
Patient Experience: AIDET, respectful care, patient updates, and board updates required
