School Nurse (RN)

Pay Rate: $50–55/hour
Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
Paid Lunch: Yes (30 minutes)
Work Setting: In Person

Position Overview

Seeking a School Nurse (RN) to support elementary students (K–5) across multiple school sites. The nurse will provide direct care, manage student health plans, and ensure compliance with medical and educational requirements.

Assigned Schools

Will float between three elementary schools in the district

Caseload

Approximately 150 students with IEPs and/or 504 Plans

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care and first aid
Manage IEP and 504 health accommodations
Administer medications per policy
Maintain health records and conduct screenings
Collaborate with school staff and families
Respond to medical emergencies

Requirements

Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) License
PEL – School Nurse
BLS CPR/AED Certification

Preferred

Hearing and Vision Certification

IDR Job ID #483365. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
