Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with BLS and chemo certification for a weekday outpatient infusion center oncology assignment.
Responsibilities
- Work in an outpatient oncology infusion center
- Administer chemotherapy and hematology treatments (no blood transfusions)
- Patient population includes oncology and hematology patients
- Day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
- 13-week contract assignment
- No on-call responsibilities
- Responsibilities include administering infusions for oncology and hematology outpatients
- No blood transfusions are performed in this unit
- Returning staff must have a two-year break from previous perm employment at the facility
- First-time travelers are eligible for consideration
- Time off requests must be submitted upfront and cannot be made post-offer
- Professional attire or scrubs as per unit policy
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience
- Current BLS certification
- Chemo certification required
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
