Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for night shifts in a fast-paced Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center, requiring 2 years of recent MRI experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Position involves working in a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center
• Unit is MRI, providing imaging for outpatients, inpatients (including ICU), trauma, ED, and research patients
• Night shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Epic EMR is used and experience is required
• MRI-guided procedures are performed as part of the workflow
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
• Responsibilities include performing MRI exams and assisting with clinical evaluation and care in a dynamic environment
• Must support teaching and adapt to ongoing technological changes
• Competency testing required for ICU and certain applicants, with up to 2 attempts to pass
• Medical documentation for flu exemption is required; personal or religious declinations will not be accepted
• Candidates who live within a 50-mile radius in the specified counties are not eligible
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application
• More than 3 call outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination and make up shifts are mandatory
• Travel pairs are not allowed and only one position submission is permitted per traveler

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as an MRI Technologist
• Active NYS license required at time of consideration
• BLS certification from AHA or RQI required
• Experience working in a trauma or emergency department setting preferred
• Epic EMR experience is required for consideration
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• U.S. Social Security Number required; no Canadian SIN accepted
• License required if applicable
