Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with acute inpatient experience and a current BLS certification for a variable shift role.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily in an acute care inpatient rehab setting with secondary coverage in ICF/SNF rehab
• Shift options include Mon-Fri, Tues-Sat, or Sun-Thurs schedules, all 8:30am-5:00pm
• Must be available to cover weekends and holidays as needed for hospital operations
• Expect possible floating to other nursing departments based on hospital needs
• Utilizes Meditech for electronic medical records
• Responsibilities include evaluating and re-evaluating assigned patients, planning and implementing therapeutic physical therapy programs, and providing consultative services as prescribed by attending physicians or consulting specialists
• All travelers must report to Employee Health 48-72 hours prior to the assignment start date
• Must arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before a Monday assignment start to report to Employee Health on Friday morning
• Candidates should expect to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Facility reserves the right to refuse or terminate assignments for cause

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum of 6 months work experience in at least one of the following settings with adults: acute care, rehab hospital, or SNF
• HI state license required by the start of assignment; must apply upon acceptance if not already licensed (license required if applicable)
