Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a day shift home health position in California, requiring current licensure and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Home health setting covering assigned county territories in California
• Day shift position with options for guaranteed or non-guaranteed hours
• Productivity for guaranteed hours option is 27 points per week, equating to 36 hours with minimum 30 points required
• Patient visits include OASIS assessments, evaluations, and follow-ups
• Travel between multiple locations may be required to maintain caseload
• Weekend coverage may be required
• Use of agency-issued smartphone and medical equipment is included
• Responsible for routine, evaluation, discharge, OASIS documentation, and visit-related tasks
• Assigned a smartphone and medical devices for daily job functions
• Drive time, documentation, and phone consultations are included in working hours
• Must be willing to see COVID+ and COVID PUI patients in the non-guarantee option
• All requested time off must be disclosed before assignment confirmation
• Former employees are not eligible for travel assignments
• Facility may terminate assignments or refuse professionals for any reason
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Requirements

• Current, active CA Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and auto registration required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred; new grads are welcome
• Home health experience preferred, but not required
• Current BLS certification required
• Annual TB test, MMR, Varicella, HepB, TDap (within 10 years), annual Flu vaccination, drug screening, and physical examination required
