Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cardiac Telemetry RN with Epic and charge experience for night shifts on a busy cardiac telemetry unit.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 33-bed cardiac telemetry unit (4 North) within a hospital setting
• Caring for cardiac telemetry patients requiring advanced monitoring
• Night shift schedule, 7:00pm-7:30am
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Floating to other units as required
• Use of Epic EMR is required
• Must be comfortable and willing to take charge on shift as needed
• Must be able to draw blood and start/maintain IVs as part of daily duties
• Interviews are required prior to offer
• Black scrubs are required for this position
• No block scheduling requests accepted and a maximum of 7 days off (RTO) allowed, not within the first 2 weeks
• Local candidates within 40 miles are eligible but will receive a local rate
• Holiday coverage and flexible availability are expected throughout assignment

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience, including charge experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA (or AHA RQI) required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required (Apex, Health Stream, or AHA)
• Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months required
• Experience in phlebotomy and IV start/maintenance within the past year
• Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE)
• Copy of driver’s license and full Social Security number required
• Must be able to provide recent Epic experience in employment history
