Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least one year of experience and an active state license for a contract-to-hire, acute care hospital role.

Responsibilities

• Position is based in an acute care hospital within the Physical Therapy department
• Day shifts, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
• Contract-to-hire arrangement with opportunities for permanent placement
• EPIC charting system is used for documentation
• Primary responsibilities include evaluating patient mobility, endurance, pain, and other conditions, devising and implementing treatment plans, and monitoring progress
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential
• Must demonstrate professionalism, be a team player, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Returning employees must have a one-year separation from any prior employment at the facility before consideration
• Scrubs are required as dress code
• Allow at least two weeks for background check and drug screen results

Requirements

• Minimum of one year recent experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in a clinic or acute care setting
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution required; Doctorate preferred
• Current, valid state license as a Physical Therapist required if applicable
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required and must be valid at start
• Experience with ultrasound is preferred
• Ability to deliver patient care assessments, develop treatment plans, and evaluate progress
