Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist with at least one year of recent skilled home health experience and a valid WA or compact license.
Responsibilities
- Home health setting serving a primarily geriatric population
- Day shift schedule: 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Typical caseload is 4-6 patients per day based on territory and productivity standards
- Visits grouped to minimize drive and travel time, though occasional maximum radius is up to 100 miles
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Travelers must have their own reliable transportation
- Utilizes documentation tools provided by the agency
- Proficiency in HCHB (Homecare Homebase) is preferred
- Timely communication and thorough documentation of patient care are essential responsibilities
- Travelers are expected to return all provided documentation tools at end of assignment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Locals are accepted
- Travel pairs can be accepted but each traveler will have their own territory and must have their own transportation
- Must submit all requested time off with initial application
- Former perm employees are eligible after a 6-month separation and HR approval
Requirements
- Current WA or compact OT license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year recent skilled OT home health experience within the past 3 years
- Inpatient experience is not accepted
- Current BCLS certification required
- OASIS experience required if completing Start of Care visits
- Active driver’s license and personal transportation required
