Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry night shift position requiring BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Position is on a 37-bed cardiac telemetry unit in a hospital setting
  • Typical patient ratios are 1:5 or 1:6, with rare cases of 1:7
  • Night shift hours are 19:30 to 07:00
  • Floating required to other medical/surgical, telemetry, and orthopedic units
  • Provide cardiac monitoring and nursing care to adult telemetry patients
  • Must be comfortable floating to various non-specialty units as needed
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers

Requirements

  • Active RN license required
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in telemetry nursing
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Current NIHSS certification required
  • Certification in Workplace Violence Prevention (DCI/BVP) may be completed online
