Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3 years of experience and current BLS and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Labor & Delivery department of an acute care hospital
• Care for patients throughout labor, delivery, and immediate post-partum period
• Responsibilities include fetal monitoring interpretation, vaginal exams, Pitocin and magnesium drip titration, circulating cesarean sections, and assisting with recovery
• Call required up to two 12-hour shifts per month
• Floating to similar units may be required as needed
• 13-week contract assignment
• Responsible for assessing patient needs and providing age-specific nursing interventions based on collected data
• Expected to utilize standard nursing practices and safety equipment in daily care activities

Requirements

• Active RN license, compact license accepted for SC
• Minimum of 3 years recent Labor & Delivery experience required
• Current BLS certification (AHA only)
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (AHA only)
• Ability to verify nursing license through Nursys and provide primary source verification
