Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry RN with recent Epic and charge experience for a night shift cardiac telemetry unit assignment.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 33-bed cardiac telemetry unit
• Night shift schedule from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6
• Floating is required as part of the assignment
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required
• Must be comfortable acting in the charge nurse role
• Candidates must wear solid black scrubs as part of the dress code
• No more than 7 days of requested time off are permitted, and none within the first two weeks of assignment
• Local candidates within 40 miles will receive a local rate
• Holiday and weekend coverage is required
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Interview required as part of the selection process

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years recent TELE RN experience including charge responsibilities
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or AHA RQI only) required
• NIHSS Stroke Scale certification required (to be completed through Apex, Health Stream, or AHA)
• Documented recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months is required
• Degree from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program required
• Ability to draw blood and start/maintain IVs
