Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week ICU position with medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patient care responsibilities and floating between critical care units required.

Responsibilities

• Work in a conglomerate ICU unit with medical, surgical, and cardiovascular cases
• Care for patients with diagnoses including TAVR, CABG, CVA, respiratory distress, DKA, GIB, sepsis, thoracotomy, vent management, CRRT, STEMI, CHF, pneumonia, and other critical illnesses
• Utilize advanced equipment such as ventilators, HFNC, TTM, IABP, and Impella
• Float within the critical care service line, which encompasses ICU and step-down units
• 12-hour day shifts from 07:00 to 19:30
• Responsibilities include comprehensive critical care for complex patient populations involving both high acuity and specialized interventions
• Team includes other ICU RNs and multidisciplinary support staff
• Position may involve floating between ICU and step-down units as needed
• All travelers must provide two separate professional references
• COVID-19 vaccination is not currently required
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate according to facility-specific radius rules

Requirements

• Active RN license with current Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Minimum two years of ICU nursing experience required
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS required (AHA only), NIH Stroke Scale preferred
• Must provide primary source license verification within 30 days prior to start
• Ability to provide US Social Security Number and US home address
• Copy of Driver’s License required for consideration
