Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist with ARRT and BLS certification to perform complex endovascular and neuro-interventional procedures in a hybrid OR setting.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Level I trauma, teaching hospital within the Interventional Radiology suite
- Operate in a hybrid OR utilized by neurosurgeons for endovascular procedures
- Cases include diagnostic cerebral angiograms, stroke treatments, AVM repairs, ruptured aneurysm repair, and carotid stenting
- Care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Required experience with procedures using PACS, C-ARM, and conducting biopsies
- 4x10 hour day shifts (6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday
- Minimum of 125 on-call hours per month, including after-hours and weekends
- Epic is the EMR system in use
- Responsibilities include participating in advanced endovascular and neuro-interventional cases and supporting neurosurgical teams
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, Level I trauma environment
- Must be responsive to credentialing and comply promptly with Ohio fingerprinting requirements
- Former employees must have a 6-month separation before returning as travelers
- Locals are accepted at the same rate
- All holiday and time-off requests must be submitted with application
Requirements
- Current ARRT certification and BLS required
- Experience in inpatient, outpatient, and operating room settings
- Strong skills with PACS and C-ARM equipment
- Proficiency in performing surgery/C-arm X-ray procedures and interventional vascular studies, including angioplasty, stents, angiograms, and peripheral vascular procedures
- Experience treating stroke, aneurysms, AVMs, and upper/lower extremities
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited program
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a formal leadership role
- License required if applicable
