Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-acuity ICU position specializing in open heart, neuro, and CRRT cases with Epic experience required.
Responsibilities
- Work in a 30-bed ICU caring for post-op CABG, neuro, and high-acuity medical-surgical patients
- Requires experience with open heart cases, neuro, CRRT, CABG, and stroke
- Night shift position from 19:30 to 07:00
- Schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday
- Floating may be required if ICU has low census
- Unit uses Epic EMR and previous Epic experience is required
- Nurses care for fresh post-op CABG and stroke patients
- No requested time off approved for holidays
- If calling in sick on a weekend, makeup is required on the following weekend
- Dress code and scrub requirements not specified
Requirements
- Active RN license
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross
- NIHSS certification required
- Experience with CRRT and post-op open heart cases required
- Workplace Violence Prevention certification (DCI/BVP) required or must be completed before assignment
