Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiac ICU position requiring BLS, PALS, and CVICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in a specialized 8-bed pediatric CVICU connected to a 14-bed PICU
• Care for pediatric cardiac patients both pre- and post-operatively
• Shifts are 7:00 PM to 7:15 AM with 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
• On-call responsibilities are expected
• Floating required to PICU, pediatric, and NICU units
• Collaborate closely with surgical and intensivist teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate surgical case load is required
• Team-oriented environment with support from experienced pediatric critical care staff
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• COVID vaccination is no longer a requirement for this assignment
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate based on facility radius rules
• Candidates should only apply to one position within the health system at a time

Requirements

• Active RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU nursing experience
• BLS and PALS certifications from AHA required
• NRP certification (AHA/AAP) required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• License and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide US Social Security Number and US home address
