Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric CVICU RN for a specialized cardiac ICU, requiring BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in a new and specialized 8-bed CVICU connected to a 14-bed PICU within a hospital setting
• Primary focus on pediatric cardiac patients requiring pre- and post-operative care
• Collaborate closely with the surgical and intensivist teams
• 36 hours per week, day shift from 07:00 to 19:15
• Requires working every other weekend and holidays, with willingness to be on call
• Float to PICU, Peds, and NICU as needed
• Duties include caring for pediatric cardiac ICU patients in both pre- and post-operative stages
• Team environment with surgical and intensivist support
• Scrub or dress code details not specified; inquire if needed
• Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate surgical cases is necessary
• Holiday coverage is required as scheduled
• Local candidates accepted but subject to a radius rule impacting pay rates
• First time travelers are eligible for consideration

Requirements

• Active RN license (Nursys verification required within 30 days prior to start)
• Current AHA certifications in BLS, PALS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); NRP Advanced preferred
• NIH Stroke Certification required (must be current as per group guidelines)
• Submission of license/certificate verification within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and valid US address are required
