Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient role requiring at least 2 years of experience and an active state license.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an outpatient physical therapy clinic within an acute care setting
  • Treats a daily caseload of 9-11 patients with orthopedic, neurological, medical, post-surgical, and spine conditions
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, with 8-10 hour day shifts scheduled based on clinic needs
  • No weekends or holiday shifts required
  • Uses Meditech for EMR documentation
  • Primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating a diverse outpatient caseload
  • Support provided by one rehab aide and one PTA per clinic, each with individual caseloads
  • Department-specific orientation is provided by the supervisor and team
  • Business casual dress code is required
  • Candidates may not have been employed full time, part time, or PRN by any facility associated with certain health systems within the past year unless PRN via outside firms
  • First-time travelers will be considered

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years recent outpatient physical therapy experience
  • Active state or compact (NLC) license required; license required if applicable
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Ability to navigate a laptop and learn new EMR systems
  • Experience providing care to varied age groups with diverse conditions
  • Copy of valid driver’s license required for consideration
  • Two professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one from a peer or supervisor within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
