Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with at least 2 years of recent MRI experience and ARRT certification to perform advanced neuro, abdominal, and musculoskeletal imaging.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital MRI department supporting both inpatient and outpatient imaging
- Average daily caseload of 35–40 cases
- Patient population includes adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
- Exam types include neuro, abdominal, musculoskeletal, pelvis, chest, brain, face/neck, hip, knee, and shoulder imaging
- Special procedures include fusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, ADC mapping, subtraction, MIP, MRP, perfusion, spectroscopy, spin echo, surface coils, T1 & T2 weighted imaging, and spine imaging (cervical, lumbar, thoracic)
- Department uses Siemens MRI equipment and PACS; Epic electronic documentation
- Day shift schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with every third weekend required
- Duties include conducting advanced MRI scans, post-processing, and working with multidisciplinary teams
- All fingerprints must be completed promptly in accordance with Ohio requirements
- Locals are accepted at the same pay rate
- Former employees are eligible if 6 months have elapsed since prior employment
- Current employees at any Ohio State University hospital location are not eligible
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission
- Scrub requirements will be outlined by the department
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years recent MRI experience required
- Active ARRT and BLS certifications required
- Valid Ohio state license required if applicable
- Experience in adult ICU, adult outpatient, and pediatric acute care settings is required
- Proficiency with Siemens MRI systems, PACS, and Epic EMR preferred
- Must provide 2 professional references, one from a supervisor or manager
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
