Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with BLS and ACLS certifications for a rotating service line position.

Responsibilities

• Work in the hospital Operating Room (OR) environment
• Flexible assignment across multiple service lines including General, Neuro, Ortho, and Robotics
• Shift is from 06:30 to 17:00
• Participation in assigned call is required
• Responsible for preparing and positioning patients for procedures and prepping the operating room
• Must be able to assume duties both within and outside the sterile field as assigned
• Expected to complete Safe Surgery checklist verifications and accurately record all care information
• Will delegate, supervise, and evaluate the activities of other team members
• Participate in efficient departmental operations and maintain supplies and equipment
• Act as a communication liaison to family and members of the OR team
• On-the-job continued professional growth and participation in educational offerings encouraged

Requirements

• Active RN license
• At least 1 year of Operating Room RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Primary source verification of nursing license required within 30 days of start
• Proficiency using computer programs for patient care documentation
