Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Operating Room position requiring BLS and ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Position is in the Operating Room (OR) of a hospital setting
• Assignments will include circulating in a variety of service lines such as general, neuro, ortho, and robotics cases
• Typical work schedule is 09:00 to 21:30
• Participation in assigned call is required
• Responsible for preparing the OR and positioning patients for procedures
• Will serve as the communication liaison between patients’ families and the surgical team
• Must adhere to service excellence standards and perform Safe Surgery checklist verification
• Expected to control and maintain supplies and equipment as well as document care accurately
• Must be able to work both in and out of the sterile field as assigned
• Professional growth through participation in educational offerings is encouraged

Requirements

• Active RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year of recent OR nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA required
• Primary source verification of nursing license needed within 30 days of start
