Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health assignment with weekday shifts and Alaska licensure required.
Responsibilities
- Community-based home health setting with an office located on campus
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- No on-call or weekend shifts required
- Average daily patient census is 26
- Patients are seen in their homes; reliable vehicle required for travel
- May float to hospice within scope as needed
- Primary responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing plans of care, and providing direct patient treatment
- May provide oversight to therapy assistants, students, aides, and volunteers
- Works collaboratively as part of a care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- First-time travelers with OASIS experience will be considered
- Return travelers must have been separated from the health system for at least one year prior to consideration
- Locals within a 60-mile radius are not accepted
- Some holiday coverage may be required, depending on unit needs
- Comfort with flexible scheduling and occasional floating to meet department needs is expected
Requirements
- Current Alaska PT license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required
- At least 1 year of recent Home Health or OASIS experience required
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills required
- Must be fully vaccinated; booster not required
