Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Thoracic Transplant ICU night shift position, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and an IN or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Cardiovascular Thoracic Transplant ICU within a hospital setting
- Care for cardiac medical and surgical patients, including those with cardiac devices
- Assignment is for 13 weeks, night shift from 19:00-07:30
- Must be able to safely manage 2 ICU patients per shift
- Must have a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Cardiac device management is an essential part of care responsibilities
- Local candidates are accepted with a reduction in the pay rate according to the state's radius rule
- Holiday and weekend coverage may be required depending on the shift
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required as of July 1, 2023
Requirements
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Nursys license verification and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
