Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Telemetry position on a stepdown intermediate care unit, requiring an OK or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Position is in a 28-bed cardiac telemetry stepdown intermediate care unit
Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-6
Patient population includes individuals with diverse cardiac needs
Support provided by PCTs, a healthcare unit coordinator, virtual sitter monitoring, and monitor techs
Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
13-week contract assignment
Responsibilities include monitoring and implementing patient care plans, documenting patient condition, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a stressful environment are required
Personal protective equipment and standard precautions must be followed
Team includes PCTs, unit coordinators, and monitor techs for patient support
All positions are auto offer
Local candidates are accepted but at a reduced pay rate according to facility radius rules
COVID vaccination is not required
Only one Ascension position can be held systemwide at a time
All required documentation, including SSN, DOB, two references, certifications, and driver's license, must be provided for consideration

Requirements

Active OK or compact state RN license, with license and Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start
Minimum of 1 year of RN experience
Current BLS certification (AHA required)
NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
Must provide US Social Security Number and a valid US home address (no international addresses accepted)
