Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a WA or compact RN license and strong perinatal assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Women's Services unit focused on Labor & Delivery
• Care for antepartum, laboring, postpartum, post-op c-section, post-op hysterectomy patients, and newborns
• Facility offers 9 LDRP beds with overflow for up to 14 beds and Level I Nursery
• Shifts are 12-hour nights
• Patient care includes vaginal and c-section deliveries, recovery, well-newborn care, and stabilization for newborn and maternal transfers
• EMR system is Epic
• Responsible for transitional care and stabilization of newborns and maternal patients for transfer
• Responsible for both maternal and newborn IV starts and lab draws
• Care team attends deliveries for both vaginal and c-section births
• First-time travelers are considered for this position

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Current certifications in BLS, Fetal Monitoring (AWHONN, Relias, or C-EFM), and NRP are required; STABLE is preferred
• IV and blood draw skills required
• Assessment skills for antepartum, laboring, and recovery patients including newborn care
